Noralee's 2nd Birthday

Yes, the end of August was busy. Of course, although we had just gotten back from Hawaii, we could not let Noralee's birthday pass without a proper birthday party. Our theme was "hot dogs and dogs" since Noralee loves dogs and she loves hot dogs. Noralee had a great time despite the fact that I left the candles at home. She probably loved most playing on the swings with her cousins and hearing "happy birthday" to her (both in Mandarin and in English, of course).

We had a Noralee quiz, and for those of you who could not make it, here were the questions:

1- What's larger: Noralee or a breadbox?
2- What weighs more: Noralee or a 150 hot dogs?
3- What's longer: Noralee or a dachshund?
4- What's heavier: Noralee or the average American cocker spaniel?
5- What's larger: Noralee's head or Hulk Hogan's arms?

On her actual birthday, we made sure Noralee had a proper serving of cake (both cupcakes and coffee cake - thanks Cousin Steve!) and she got her candle. Aunt Char was in town so Noralee and Aunt Char got to spend some extra time together, too. She spent the next few days in the week singing happy birthday to herself and asking for cake - I call that success!

(answers to the above: Noralee, Noralee at 164 hotdogs, Noralee, American cocker spaniel, Hulk Hogan)
