On Day 3, we stay in town and head to Lanikai Beach. Lanikai Beach is a great place for little ones, with very warm water and a pretty sandy beach. Noralee gets in the water, but she's not feeling it today. Why? She needs a nap - figures! An hour passes, I get valuable reading time in, and finally we get more playtime in the water. We also make it to pizza in Kailua town that day, and our first taste of shave ice. Luckily, we stumble on the same place (Island Snow) where Obama brought the family in when they visited in December. I like to think he who knows good shave ice makes for a good president.
