Okeedokee, my Hawaii posts are taking up too much time, so I will summarize the end:
1- Day 5: hike up to a nearby lighthouse with a great view of the ocean (thumbs up)
2- Day 5: we were thwarted in our planned to Haumea Bay, and ended up at the Honolulu Museum of Art instead (if you go, don't go for lunch)
3- Day 6: Noralee gets sick, we never make it to Roy's but we make it to Kaiser Permanente (thumbs up to KP Hawaii!)
4- Day 7: we pack it up and go home... and Hawaii is just a beautiful memory.
Overall, Hawaii was great and it was so nice to spend extra time together as a family. Traveling with a little one is definitely different - no fancy dinners and it's any wonder that we had any dinner outs at all (we may have to start traveling only in the PST time zone!) - but I love seeing everything new again through Noralee's eyes. I think the whole point of traveling is seeing and experiencing different parts of the world, but Noralee reminds us even more so that all the little things are exciting too, whether it's a new dog, the splash of the waves, or the unexpected sweetness of shave ice.
