'introducing' daniel

Daniel's already 2 months and here I am, finally writing the first post on him! Shame on mommy!

Daniel made his entrance into the world on June 18th. His due date was June 19th, so he was just a day early, but he spent the last two weeks teasing us as to when he was going to be born. We even made Grandma and Grandpa take an extra trip to the Bay Area in hopes of his arrival! When it was finally time for us to go to the hospital, his labor was longer than expected for a 2nd baby, but no wonder- he was 9 lbs, 4 oz at birth.

He's over two months now and growing like a weed. He sleeps a lot, grows a lot, eats a lot, pees a lot. Typical baby!

The first couple of months have been very busy as we get adjusted to life as a family of four. Noralee is doing great- she is enjoying being a big sister, loves to hold him, and is very observant. She likes to see him smile ("He's smiling!") and also see him move around (for this she says, "Look, he's touching!" - sometimes he is actually touching her, sometimes he's just wiggling).

We're also adjusting to having a big baby. It is amusing to Kevin and me to have a big bruiser like Daniel after having La Petit Noralee. He's got a very healthy set of thighs, chunk around his baby, and fun baby folds.

Anyhoo, I will try to be better about posting new pics here so you can see both Daniel and Noralee's development. Here's to new resolutions...
