The rest of July has passed by pretty quickly – the highlights being Grandma and Grandpa’s visit and James’ birthday party. Grandma and Grandpa (now hereafter known to Noralee as Pipa and Gima) came to stay with us for a week, and Noralee loved having them around. Somehow we neglected to take many pictures of them while they were here, but here’s all of us at dinner. Noralee is really enjoying spending time with all four of her grandparents… hint hint - we want to know when the four of you are moving to the Bay Area! Time to pack up your houses!
As for James’ birthday party, yes, he just turned one. From Noralee’s perspective, she wanted to know why there were so many kids at Jenny A-Yi’s house that she had to fight over the toys with (usually there is just James to fight with). She had a great time, playing, eating cake, and singing “Happy Birthday” – which she knows in both Mandarin and English. Baby Winston also made his debut out into the world at the party. He is growing very well and is already up to over 11 pounds, and his face has filled out nicely. We will need to take bets as to when his weight will catch up with Noralee’s.
