Kevin, Noralee, and I roadtripped up to Oregon last week to see Uncle Fred and Aunt Michele. We left Friday night, stayed in Redding, and then drove the rest of the distance to Grant's Pass the following Saturday.
Noralee has only been on one other roadtrip, down to Southern California around New Year's... so we weren't quite sure what to expect this time around. She did fine on the first leg and slept through most of it. Whew! We did have a stop at Taco Bell for dinner, and well, wouldn't you know it, she likes their cheese quesadillas and bean burritos.
She slept decently at the motel, except for that she woke up at 5 o'clock in the morning, and couldn't be convinced to go back to sleep. Needless to say, we made it to Uncle Fred's pretty early that day - even with our stop in Medford at Rooster's. Rooster's was a decent hole in the wall for breakfast - the waitresseses there were especially nice and didn't even mind Cheerios on their carpet.
